Cathie and François welcome you to their Gîte, Les Pivoines, located in Nistos – a village at the heart of a beautiful valley in the High Pyrenees.
You can choose between their fully equipped 3*** Gîte Guesthouse, which can accommodate 6 to 8 guests, or the chambre d’hôtes, their Independent Guestroom.
Famous for its untouched nature, the Nistos Valley area has a close-by family-friendly and authentic Nordic centre with many activities (cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, laser biathlon discovery sessions), hiking trails and fishing spots (in the rivers La Neste, La Garonne, Le Nistos and more), as well as a rich historical and cultural heritage.

Meeting room with accommodation
At Les Pivoines, you can also hire a hardwood-floored 45 square metre room (approx. 484 sq ft) which offers a calm environment for business meetings or relaxation and meditative activities (yoga, tai chi, qigong). You can also book on-site accommodation (Gîte Guesthouse and one independent Guestroom). Meals for the duration or part of the stay can be arranged on request.

Guesthouse









A few steps away from the Nistos (a small mountain stream), the Gîte occupies the far end of a 19th century farmhouse. It offers a large living area with a sofa bed and a fully equipped open-plan kitchen on the ground floor. On the first floor you will find a large bedroom fitted with two double beds (140 cm wide, approx. 55 in), as well as an independent shower room with a toilet.
A cosy attic space with a double bed (140 cm wide, approx. 55 in) complements the upstairs sleeping options.
If you need some extra accommodation, the ground floor living area sofa bed can accommodate two more people.

Guests have full use of the entire Gîte and can enjoy the front garden and its private terrace, which features a large table and chairs, a parasol, deckchairs and a barbecue. At the back of the Gîte, a child-friendly part of our own garden offers a trampoline and plenty of space for ball games. We love pets and they are welcome (subject to our conditions). You'll enjoy free WiFi and onsite parking.
Tourist brochures are readily available and cater for many interests, like visits, activities, hiking and so on. 


In the colder season the Gîte is heated with a downstairs wood stove (wood logs are provided) and the upstairs bedrooms also have additional electric heaters. All windows are fitted with double glazing and mosquito nets.

All mattresses, pillows and bolsters are fitted with protective covers.
Bed linen is provided and beds will be ready on your arrival. Bathroom towels are provided for up to 5 guests.

Living area's commodities and appliances (kitchen & living room) 
Toaster, oven and microwave oven, food-processor, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, drying rack and pegs, iron, baby chair, raclette and fondue sets. The sideboard is a board gamer's treasure chest packed with activities for young and old: playing cards, dice games, jigsaws, racket and ball games, and a variety of books. For your laptop or mobile phone, a French plug adapter is available on request.

Large bedroom's commodities
Two double beds, book corner, cupboard with coat hangers (extra pillows, bolster and blanket available). If needed, there is also a foldable baby bed (provided with mattress, mattress protective cover, fitted sheet and its own mosquito net).

Shower-room commodities and appliances
Hair-dryer, first aid kit, hand and bath towels, bath mat and 1 toilet roll.









Independent Guestroom/B&B

The independent Guestroom features a double bed, snack corner (electric kettle, tea, herbal tea, coffee and biscuits), cupboard (with coat hangers and extra bedding), table and chairs, satellite TV, as well as a separate shower-room which includes a toilet. Free Wi-Fi is available. The spacious independent Guestroom can accommodate a foldable baby bed if needed (provided with mattress, mattress protective cover, fitted sheet and its own mosquito net).

The large glass door, which opens onto the front garden, has its own mosquito net. Outside, you can enjoy relaxing at the bistro-style table and chairs. The upstairs terrace can be accessed via an attractive staircase to the side of the building.

Note: the Guestroom does not have a window, as natural light is provided by the large double-glazed entrance door (with blackout curtain for the night).
All mattresses, pillows and bolsters are fitted with protective covers.
